Wild Thing, an Indie Takeover by Meebox

**Contains PR Products**

June's Meebox is very exciting, as it is an indie takeover! As soon as I heard the news I did a little jump of joy, because as you know, I'm a huge indie supporter. The box included 3 wonderful indie brands that I've had the pleasure of either working with previously, or that I've treat myself to, and 1 new one that I've been wanting to try for the longest time.

The value of Wild Thing is £38.10, but as you readers may know by now, it would only cost you £20 including p&p, bargain! Included are three colour polishes, a topcoat, some Zebra print decals, and some nail art brushes. In todays post we will mainly be looking at the colour polishes, but I'll be doing a separate post very soon for the topcoat and nail art items.

Right, lets take a look shall we?!

Ard as Nails - Siberian Sunset

Here is my favourite item out of the entire box, the name is so fitting as when the colour transition is taking place, it really looks like the sunset. Ard as Nails is a brand we have all come to know and love, I personally have quite a collection of their beautiful polishes. (I love their sister company Soap Dodger too, such gorgeous bath and body products).

I only needed two generous coats for full opacity, and as we have been experiencing a heatwave here in the UK, the transition from a soft. peachy-orange to a delicate pastel yellow was fairly quick. The pop of holo-glitters is the perfect finishing touch to Siberian Sunset, adding a gentle twinkle to your nails.

This polish is worth £7 for 12ml.

Prism Polish - Drogon

Prism Polish is another indie brand that I have come to really admire, newer to the market than Ard as Nails, but have fitted in community superbly. Their polishes are always of the highest quality, and the colours are exquisite.

This little beauty was full cover in two coats, a rich, deep plum-purple with subtle hits of red and gold twinkles. The photo just doesn't do it justice, as even though the twinkles are quite subtle, they do surprise you with a burst of shimmer under different lighting situations.

As with all dark polishes, I managed to make a mess near the cuticles on a few fingers, but found that Drogon was easily cleaned up from the skin with no staining. Perfect!

Drogon is £7 for 10ml.

Wikkid Polish - Forest

I believe Wikkid Polish is the newest of the Indies in the box, though not to be underestimated as their polishes are beautiful! Forest is no exception, a lush deep green with a gorgeous golden-green shimmer, which dries to a semi-matte finish. I found that adding a topcoat really helped to lift that shimmer, isn't it pretty?

To purchase this polish separately it would cost £7.50 for 10ml.
