Bright Neons by Polished Cosmetics
**contains PR products**
I'm back again today with yet another wonderful new indie brand - Polished Cosmetics. Ceri who is the brains behind the scenes kindly sent me four polishes to swatch and review, I was delighted to open the parcel and see some beautiful bright neons.
I have had such fun spending practically all day swatching and playing around with these beauties, let's take a little look shall we?...
I'm starting with Fantasy as it is my favourite of the bunch - well, obviously - it's pink! I knew as soon as I saw the colours that I wanted to try them with both a matte and glossy finish. All four of these neons dry down to a shiny, smooth finish, and quite quickly too. I found them to be fairly streaky on the first application which isn't unusual, then once you start to build you will notice a consistent, self-levelling cover. All swatches with the exception of Siesta are shown with just two coats.
Lullaby is such a vibrant, blinding, fluorescent yellow. I'm not usually one to warm to yellows, but who can resist this badboy?! This is definitely going to be one you need in your collection, so make sure you're keeping a close eye on Polished Cosmetics over on Instagram for any updates on release dates.
All of the swatched polishes apply with such ease, they are smooth - almost creamy, a dream to work with.
How perfect are these colours for summer, for both hands and feet! I love how they look next to my milky white skin, but can you imagine how they will pop against warmer skin tones? I know neons are nothing new, but I have to say the formula of these are probably one of the best I've ever worked with. I often find neons to become quite gloopy, a bit of a mess really, even with mainstream brands, but Polished Cosmetics have completely nailed it with these.
I've saved Siesta for last not because I like it any less, but because this is the only polish out of the four that I found looked at it's best with three coats. It still has an amazing formula, easy to use, smooth and creamy on application, perhaps I was just more heavy handed with the previous three haha!
You know you're onto a winner with neons when they are bright enough to confuse the camera and add a blur to your finished photos! Usually I'm a sucker for a high gloss finish, but admittedly I'm leaning towards matte finishes more and more these days. Which do you think looks best with these neons? Gloss or Matte?
Overall I love this collection, what a way to enter the indie polish community. Polished Cosmetics are, in my opinion, one to have on your radar, I have a feeling we are going to be seeing a lot more from this brand.
As mentioned before, make sure you're following Polished Cosmetics over on Instagram to make sure you are all up to date with release and launch dates.
Thank you for reading,
Love, Leanne Xx
