Nicole Diary Metallic Polish Collection

*Contains PR products*

I wasn’t originally intending to do a supporting blog post to these swatches, but after trying them out and being so impressed by them, I knew that they deserved their own little place on here.

A couple of weeks ago I was asked if I wanted to review a couple of nail related items from Amazon, of course I said yes! I was given a list of items that I could choose from, and after having a good look through them all, I decided on this Nicole Diary 5 piece metallic collection that retails at £13.99.

Let’s take a quick look at my swatches, then move onto my review…

Green - ND508

Green - ND509

Blue - ND506

Blue/Grey/Black - ND507

Red - ND510

All swatches are shown with two coats and a topcoat.

They all applied nice and smoothly, I didn’t experience any patchiness and could actually have gotten away with just one coat. I noticed that adding a topcoat seemed to brighten the colour up quite a bit, they looked fairly dull before.

I’m not usually a fan of metallic polishes as they show up brush strokes, and when they dry you can see every flaw in your natural nail, but the colours of these badboys won me over.

They are described as metallic, mirror effect polishes…I’m not really sure where the mirror effect comes in but they definitely dry to a metallic, semi-shine finish. I do feel like they look their absolute best with a topcoat though, which is also going to prolong the life of your manicure.

Which is your favourite colour? I’m struggling to decide between the first green and the blue…

Thank you for reading,

Love, Leanne Xx
