LivOliv Autumn Collection
**These polishes were kindly sent to me for swatches and review**
LivOliv is a family run business that specialises in hand blending cruelty-free, vegan and toxic free polishes in Dorset. If you pop on over to their website you will find a fabulous selection of polishes, there's even a range for your little ones, along with gift ideas and cuticle and hand care products too.
I have been lucky enough to try out a brand new collection which will be hitting the shop at the back end of September, along with a new feature on their website - a blog! I can't wait to see this new edition.
Without further -a - do, let's dive in and take a closer look at this wonderful collection...
This pastel golden yellow polish is fully opaque in three thin coats. It has a pretty subtle golden metallic shimmer evenly scattered throughout which adds something a little more special and unique to the product.
I found the formula, along with my favourite - flat, square brush, super easy to work with, with minimal cleanup required after application.
Hay! Baby will stand out from your collection, I don't believe I have anything like it. I love how it is a warm tone, it is the perfect shade for autumn/winter.
Oh look how pretty it is! It really does suit it's name doesn't it?
Silk Chocolate is a light, creamy, dairy milk chocolate-y shade, very silky and almost metallic/chrome with the soft silver shimmer running through it.
This colour was fully opaque in just two coats and again has a lovely formula which applies smooth and even.
This polish is a beautiful turquoise blue with subtle shifts of iridescent green. It will really appeal to the mermaid in you, and even though it is part of an autumn collection, I feel like it would be so easy to wear all year round.
I found this to have a lovely, almost pearl - like finish, which adds more interest to an already unique polish. I love how indie - made products are so completely different to anything you can find on the high-street!
You can easily get away with two coats of Day Dreamer, but I did notice my white tips peeking through a little, so I found an extra coat gave fuller opacity.
Wild Fern has to be my favourite of the whole collection, it's the most perfect lush, deep, leafy green with soft golden yellow shimmers running through it.
It has the same quality formula as the rest of the collection, and is opaque in just two coats.
As with all polishes, I find that adding a topcoat really helps to enhance any glitters or shimmers, so make sure to add a glossy topper to make that sparkle pop!
Here is another stunner, look at that colour!
Berry Juicy is a rich royal purple which has a slight metallic feel to it. Perfect for the cooler months, this will add the finishing touch you're looking for to your autumnal outfit.
It is fully opaque in two coats, and remember to let each coat dry for ultimate ease of application.
As with the whole collection, this comes complete with a flat square brush that makes the whole process a lot easier to manage, I often struggle with darker colours and clean up can become quite the chore...however I had no problem with Berry Juicy thanks to that nifty brush!
That rounds up today's post, what do you think? Do you have a favourite out of this collection or will you be treating yourself to the whole lot?
Thank you for reading!
Love, Leanne Xx
