Say Yes to Yes To Skincare Part 2

In my last Skincare post I was raving about my new found obsession with Yes To products, but there were two new purchases that I needed to test out properly before being able to review fairly...

Yes To Tomatoes Detoxifying Charcoal Mud Mask

Mud mask

I have used this mask 4 times through August up to now. It has been used on days where my skin has been at its worst, breakouts, redness, the usual challenges my skin faces these days! Since using the products mentioned previously I have noticed that my skin seems to have calmed down a lot, the problem areas on my cheeks have been a lot less of a problem!

However, if I've had an extra tiring day at work, if something in my personal life has kicked off, anything that 'stresses me out' my face suffers the consequences and on those days, this face mask is my hero.

I love to use this when I'm in the bath, I will have cleansed my face previously, let it dry, laid back in a steamy hot bath for about 10 minutes, then I use a flat foundation brush to generously layer the mask on, avoiding the eyebrows and hairline as a rule.

After 10 minutes it's time to remove the mask, I use my muslin cloth to do this, then splash my face with cool water. Once dry I apply my moisturiser (you can read all about this in my previous post too) and I notice an immediate difference in the mirror. Not only do I look -and feel- more relaxed, but my face looks a lot brighter too.

The next day, without a doubt, that nasty flare up and redness will have shrunk dramatically in size and my makeup will sit nicer and disguise the left over stubborn bits perfectly.

I love this product, I can definitely say that in terms of reducing redness and spots, this is the best mask I have ever used to date. Its a little lifesaver, one worth having on the shelf.

It costs £12 for 93g, I think in my last post I estimated getting about 10 uses out of this, but to be fair after using this 4 times already, I can see that I will get many more applications than 10. Fabulous value for money. You can grab yours HERE from BeautyBay.

Yes To Blueberries face and neck oil

Face and neck oil

I bought this oil to help target something else that really gets on my goat - my wrinkly forehead! OK, its not that bad, but as I'm getting a little older, those little lines seem to get a little deeper, and I want to try and slow the process as much as possible.

Just 2 drops morning and night before moisturising have been helping to keep my skin hydrated a touch more and those lines don't seem as pronounced (to me) anymore. Maybe all I needed was that extra hydration.

This oil alongside the moisturisers I use really make my skin feel so lovely and soft, again helping to let my makeup sit nicer on the skin throughout the day.

It doesn't feel like your normal face oil, there's something a bit different about it. It almost feels a bit like a gel, only not as heavy. This means that you don't get that greasy feeling you can sometimes get with other oils.

Another thing I really like about the Yes To oil is that it doesn't have a strong scent to it. I love products that smell really nice don't get me wrong, but when you're using multiple products on your face, it's nice to have something that won't overpower and cause a mash up of scents!

The Yes To Blueberries face and neck oil costs £15 for 30ml, again fab value for money. I've been using this twice a day, 2-3 drops each time for nearly a month and I've only just hit the top of the label on the bottle. I'm going to get a good few months out of this bad boy. Click HERE for your bottle.

Update : After a few more weeks of use I noticed that this oil was causing me to break out more than usual. I don't know if it was my skin changing or something in the oil, but it no longer agrees with me! Be wary if you tend to have breakouts as this may not be for you.

That's all from me today, have you enjoyed this post? Have you tried any of these products? Which are your favourites?

Thank you for reading

Love, Leanne Xx
