Protect and Hydrate Your Skin with Murad

A couple of posts ago I dived into the world of CBD infused skincare featuring Murad products. Since using this brand my skin has completely transformed, it feels and looks healthier, clearer, hydrated and brighter. I get so many lovely compliments on my skin now as well which is a huge achievement!

As my skin has responded so well to the products we already talked about, I decided to indulge myself in some more of their goodies. This time we are going to be looking at a beautiful new moisturiser, and a multitasking product that primes, blurs, and protects.

Murad Nutrient Charged Water Gel

This is a new product, if not to Murad, definitely to Marks and Spencer where I purchased it. I tried out a small sample before going on to buy the full size. The thing that most attracted me to this moisturiser was the feather light gel formula, I’ve been using the Filorga HydraFiller for quite a while (which I still love and recommend by the way!), but in comparison, this felt so much lighter on the skin.

I’ve also found it to be extremely hydrating, my dry skin has absolutely had it’s thirst quenched. The gel works hand in hand with the Revitalixir and MultiVitamin Oil, my skin isn’t overloaded and left feeling greasy or oily.

It has been made up with a special blend of 5 Peptides, 5 Vitamins and 5 Minerals that all work together to strengthen your skin’s natural barrier and to also give your skin maximum hydration retention that can last for up to 5 days, meaning you are left with beautifully plump and smooth skin.

The Nutrient Charged Water Gel is suitable for all skin types and has been formulated with no Parabens, Sulfates, Phthalates, Gluten, nor animal derived ingredients. It is most great for dry and dull skin, repairing fine lines and wrinkles, and for smoothing out rough skin texture. This product is cruelty-free and oil free, and for 50ml it costs £50.

If you suffer with dry skin and if your budget allows, I would highly recommend trying this moisturiser out. It is the lightest and yet most hydrating one that I have ever come across. You can use this both morning and night, but remember to use an SPF if using on a morning - which leads me nicely into the next featured product…

Murad Invisiblur Perfecting Shield

For those who have followed my work for a very long time, you may remember that I once did a post about the Invisiblur and found that I wasn’t overly impressed with it. I have to hold my hands up here and say that I was quite young and ignorant to the product’s properties, and have improved on how I research and test out things before I sit down and write about them. Which is why todays review of the Invisiblur is going to completely contradict my original feelings. (This post was deleted a very long time ago, so long ago in fact that it could have been published back when I used Wordpress!)

If you are someone who doesn’t like the feel of most sun protection creams and lotions, you are going to love this. If you are someone who enjoys a blurring effect in their primers, you are going to love this.

The Invisiblur is a serum, but you would use this as your final step in your skincare routine, or you could even mix a pump of it in with your moisturiser which I have been doing. As it is colourless it is perfect for any skin tone, where some sunscreens may leave a white cast over darker skin, this won’t. It blends in seamlessly creating the perfect, smooth canvas you want before applying makeup. Or, perhaps you don’t typically wear makeup, popping this serum on will help to blur any imperfections on the skin, be it the appearance of pores, fine lines, and/or uneven texture.

It does all of this whilst giving you an SPF 30, the Invisiblur protects against UVA and UVB rays.

Again, this product has been formulated without the use of Parabens, Sulfates, Phthalates, Gluten and Animal derived ingredients. It is perfect for all skin types, and for 30ml it costs £65.

These products are of course placed within the higher price bracket, and quite rightly so in my opinion. Murad are very unapologetic about their prices because they know that when you choose to buy from them, you are buying some of the very best products on the market. Personally, I am more than happy to invest in good skincare when I find that my skin responds well to it. Perhaps before my acne I wouldn’t have been so fussy, but it has been a journey to get my skin in good condition and I have learnt to take good care of it in the process.

My Updated Skin Care Routine
