Liz Earle's 3 Steps to Beautiful Skin
A few months ago I felt the need to strip down my skincare to the absolute basics, to start using the most simple routine, the most calming, most natural products to really help my skin be the best it could be. The realisation that skincare wasn't going to be enough to clear up my acne had settled in, but I knew that I could at least make sure I was using the best of the best products to help it on it's way.
That's when I turned back to Liz Earle. I used this brands products years ago, loved them, but stopped using them. Why?! I think I just wanted to see what else was out there, the world of beauty was just opening up to me and there was something new to discover everyday.
I popped onto QVC and bought a special priced set, it was before Christmas so it was the perfect way to treat myself as well as others haha! I kept the Cleanse & Polish, Instant Boost Skin Tonic and the sensitive/dry Skin Repair Moisturiser.
Cleanse & Polish
I started off with the Rose and Lavender edition, and when I'd used up the tube begun on the original. I use this every evening without fail, double cleansing on days that I've worn makeup, and use it on mornings that I'm not working too (If I'm working I quickly just use a micellar water followed by the skin boost tonic and moisturiser).
This cream cleanser massages into the skin removing all traces of the day, it's best used with the muslin cloths to help keep the skin gently exfoliated too.
It's perfect for all skin types and is bursting with all kinds of skin loving ingredients including chamomile and rosemary.
I love how the product smells, but I really love how it makes my skin feel...so soft! I forgot just how incredible this makes your skin feel. Your face also looks brighter, more refreshed, healthy. I don't think I'm ever going to want to use another cleanser ever again.
It comes in a 100ml bottle with a pump which perfectly measures out how much you need to use in one go. It costs £16, which is fantastic value for money in my opinion, you get plenty of uses out of it, I think my first bottle lasted me a month.
Instant Boost Skin Tonic
This is probably my favourite step of the three. It's so refreshing to use, an instant pick me up. So this is the toner, you use it after you've cleansed and it works to really hydrate the skin.
It is cooling, soothing, refreshing and very uplifting, and it smells amazing!
Like with all Liz Earle products, the naturally active ingredients used are the very best, including aloe vera, chamomile and cucumber. I know some people like to keep their bottle in the fridge, maybe I'll try this in the Summer, it's still a little too cold here in the UK for that just yet haha!
For a 200ml bottle this will cost you £15, a very reasonable price indeed. It doesn't last me quite the month, but to be fair I use it a lot! I think you can actually buy this in a spritzer bottle to use throughout the day with ease, another product I must invest in!
Skin Repair Moisturiser
There are three options of moisturiser at Liz Earle, combination/oily, normal/combination, and dry/sensitive. With my skin being the way it is at the moment, I've been opting for the dry/sensitive version.
It is incredibly nourishing, very soothing, without leaving a greasy or uncomfortable film over the skin. My skin soon drinks it in leaving my face ready for makeup application or just going about my daily business.
You can choose to buy this in a tube (which I prefer) or a tub. No matter the component you get 50ml of product which costs £19.50.
I have noticed such a difference since starting these three steps, my skin is feeling and looking a lot calmer and brighter. (Make sure you're following my skin series to keep up to date with more acne related issues...)
I urge you to bob on over to the Liz Earle website and have a nosey at their story and principles, it's not at all a long read but it gives you a clear sense of who the brand is and the love they have for natural based beauty and well being.
Do you use Liz Earle? Which are your favourite products from the range?
Thank you for reading
Love, Leanne Xx
