My 3 Balance Me Skincare Essentials
This blog post has been a few months in the making, but I really wanted to put the products mentioned to the test to give you my most accurate results. Also, I previously blogged about how much I was enjoying Liz Earle Skincare, which I still stand by, but a very lovely and helpful brand rep from Balance Me came into store and gave me some tips and samples to try out from their range. Needless to say, she converted me, and I'm looking forward to her coming back into store so I can share my story with her. (I hate using the word 'her' here - but for the life of me I can't remember her name!)
Once I'd used up my samples, I went on to buy full size as I've been so happy with the results.
Pure Skin Face Wash
If you haven't already, check out my Skin Series to see the issues I'd been having, I started using these products after I'd been prescribed and using acne treatment, continued using it through weening off of the treatment, and now - only using the treatment as and when needed (which is nearly never these days - knock on wood!).
This skin wash is so very gentle, which I need as I have sensitive skin, but gives you a thorough cleanse. I do wear quite a bit of makeup and I'm confident that when I use this wash, it's removing it all. You only need to use a small amount with warm water, lather it up in your hands and massage over the face, finishing off with a warm rinse and quick splash of cold water. I love to use this both morning and night - though admittedly if I'm in a rush I'll just use a Micellar Water on a morning.
Aloe Vera within works to calm and reduce redness, and brighten dull skin. Containing Moringa oil too, this wash is anti-inflammatory which makes it perfect for skin like mine, acne-prone, but really for any skin type too as it is very balancing, removing all excess sebum without stripping the skin's natural barrier.
Even though this is a foam wash, I don't find that the skin feels tight after use, probably down to the fact that it (like most Balance Me items) uses 99% natural ingredients.
Balancing Face Moisturiser
I am always over the moon when a brand uses a pump component! It makes things so much quicker, easier, and more sanitary, plus you know that one measured pump is enough.
This is another product which uses some of the best ingredients - Neroli oil to help battle blemishes and balance the skin's hydration, Spruce Knot and Chamomile to calm redness and inflammation, Bergamot oil to brighten the skin.
It feels incredibly light on the skin, non-greasy, and can be used both morning and night.
Congested Skin Serum
This is great for blemish prone skin, oily skin and sensitive skin as it works to calm and soothe, and also tackle blemishes and inflammation. You can use this all over the face (I was advised to avoid the eye area as it can be drying around that area) or just use over problem areas. My problem areas are my cheeks, which is where I focus it.
Ingredients used includes Kanuka oil which is anti-microbial and anti-bacterial, Eucalyptus, Lavender and Chamomile to calm, just to name a few.
I use this morning and night under the Balancing Moisturiser. For a 15ml pump it costs £16, and actually I must remember to pick another tube when I'm next in work!
So these are the 3 main items from the samples which I have been over the moon with, and have seen an incredible difference in the appearance and condition of my skin. They work really well together with my beloved Sand & Sky products, and a few other products too which I'll post about separately.
I was also given a sample of the Hyaluronic Plumping Mist, which I did enjoy using, but I use a similar item which I prefer. However if you wished to stick to the same brand for your routine, I would highly recommend this product to lock in all the essential moisture that the skin needs. It is £16 for a 30ml spray bottle.
I hope you have found this post helpful, I have been completely won over by this brand and its products, having used them for 4-5 months now. Balance Me comes highly recommended on this blog!
Thank you so much for reading, if you have any questions about these mentioned products, please feel free to ask in the comments below and I'll do my best to help.
Love, Leanne Xx
