Duac Update and my New Skincare Routine

Hey everyone, hope you are keeping safe and warm in this snowy and windy weather! I wanted to do an update once I'd been back to the doctors for my follow up appointment, but unfortunately it's been a struggle to get back in to see one. Thankfully I've managed to get booked in for next Tuesday, so I'll do another post after then.

Duac Results - one month in

I thought I'd share with you guys how my skins been doing after a months worth of using Duac, so be prepared for more unfiltered, raw, no makeup photos! Overall I have been over the moon with the results of using this gel so far, although there's no doubt that I still have redness, scarring and a few spots, there has been a fabulous reduction in these areas.

Lets take a little look at some before & during photos, then we can move onto my skincare routine...

I feel like there has been a significant change so far, when I see the doctor on Tuesday I'm going to ask if I might be able to try a course of antibiotics to help clear up the remaining spots. Also, I'm going to look into some natural remedies to help reduce any scarring left over, so if any of you guys can recommend anything please drop a comment.

There has been a massive improvement in the texture in my skin, although you can see redness still, covering it with makeup is a dream now, with hardly any bumps and lumps. It has helped my confidence in buckets!

Please make sure you've caught up with my full Duac journey so far HERE as there have been a few bumps on the road, but luckily I haven't had any more bad reactions due to more careful application.

New Skincare Routine - Hero Products

Hero products

These are the products I've been absolutely loving, they are working really well with my skin, keeping it well hydrated as Duac can be really drying!

Liz Earle - Cleanse & Polish morning and night, Instant skin tonic morning and night, and Repair moisturiser in dry/sensitive on a morning.

Pixi - Hydrating Milky Mist used morning and night. On a morning I generously spritz after cleansing and toning, then apply moisturiser over the top. On an evening I use this before applying Duac as I found that applying a moisturiser over it gave me the bad reaction near my eyes.

Sand & Sky - Pink clay mask used 2-3 times a week after cleansing but before toning, spritzing and applying Duac. Please click HERE to see my full review on this product, it's literally the best face mask I have ever come across and I know you guys will love it too.

Duac - Used every evening. The only exception is if my skin has been really sensitive on any particular day, then I will skip that night's application.

I've tried to keep my routine really simple, only adding a new product if felt necessary. This seems to have kept my skin balanced and nourished with minimal to no breakouts. My face seems to be maintaining a bright and healthy complexion too with these products.

So that is everything for todays post, remember to drop any comments with suggested products for acne scarring etc.

Thank you for reading

Love, Leanne Xx
