Spooky Nails

**contains some PR samples**

What would Blogtober be on Polished by Leanne without some Halloweeny nails?! These are so easy to do, please tag me over on Instagram if you try these out for yourself!

To achieve this design we’ll be using dark colours, so make sure you use a good base. I’ve been loving Prism Polish’s Baseline which was kindly sent to me to try out. It dries in record time and prevents any staining to your natural nails.

Baseline & Seche

Now it’s time for the fun parts! Instead of using the same base colour on every nail, I like to switch it up a bit to add more interest, sooo let’s paint the middle and ring finger white and the rest black. I’ve used the NCLA polishes that we’re included in the most recent Meebox, Ask the Magic 8 Ball (white) and Back to Black.

Here I like to add a quick dry topcoat - as always I recommend Seche Vite, now let your base colours dry....

Stamping polishes & plate

Let’s get stamping! I used the Lina Spookilicious plate and selected the ghostly images. I stamped black over white, and white over black. The NCLA polishes worked incredibly well as stamping polishes, which I was really impressed with.

Once you’re happy with your design, allow a good amount of time to dry, add another coat of Seche being careful not to drag and ruin the stamping, then cleanup any left over mess from around the cuticles. I tend to use acetone and a nail brush for this, though a lot of people use a latex barrier, so it can just quickly peel off.
