Short Wig and Makeup Look
Hey everyone! A few week ago I put up some photos of myself rocking a short wig and pinky purple makeup, I got such a positive response that I thought I'd share it on here too. Thank you all for the lovely comments you left, you're the best!
Let's take a look at the breakdown of products used, you'll probably notice that I tend to stick to some of the same...
Primer - For my primer I used the Murad Invisiblur Perfecting Shield, I apply this all over the face but really concentrate over my cheeks and nose to fill in those pesky pores.
Foundation - My go-to foundation has been the Marks and Spencer Autograph All in One Foundation and Concealer as it has the best coverage I have ever found. I'm absolutely gutted that this seems to have gone forever as Marks and Spencer have re-branded their Autograph makeup range. It looks fabulous but I'm really going to miss this foundation.
Concealer - Where would I be without my Zao concealer?! I love this as it provides great cover over my redness and darkness under the eyes. In fact, I'm nearly out of it - must order some more!
Setting powder - I am hooked on the W7 Banana Dreams Loose Powder, it really helps lock in that base, but also takes away any unwanted shine. Love it!
Highlighter - For this look I wanted something really icy and full beam, so I turned to my Jeffree Star Skin Frost in Ice Cold. This particular highlighter is very smooth and buttery, and applies wonderfully.
Setting spray - To lock everything in after completing this look, I have been using something new! I was tempted to try the new Morphe setting spray as I was loving the idea of it being like a continuous spray - but then I came across the Diego Dalla Palma make-up fixer. It is a similar idea and I have fast become addicted to it over any other setting spray. It feels wonderful and light, very silky and it keeps my makeup in place all day.
Eyeshadows - My favourite base colour to use on the eye area at the moment is Jeffree Star's China White from the Beauty Killer Palette. It's an off white, quite creamy and it provides me with a perfect blank canvas.
Next for this look I dipped into my Morphe 35c Colour Matte Palette. There are no names to these shadows, but there are two deep purples on the bottom row, one slightly lighter than the other, which I mixed and used all around the eye.
Mascara - The only mascara I will ever own - well, that's if it doesn't become discontinued! - is the Pur Volume Vixen mascara in Black. I adore this mascara as it literally does as it says on the tin, it gives my lashes the boost and lift they need to be noticed.
False Lashes - I seem to be gravitating towards Ardell's Demi Wispies lately. They add extra length and life without looking too heavy or dramatic, which was perfect for this look as I really wanted to keep the bright purple shadows the main feature.
Brows - I really struggle with my brows, so here I just used my Eylure brow stencil in Slim Arch and used the Barry M Brow Kit powder to fill in and add a stronger brow colour, my natural brows are very light and easily disappear under my makeup so these two combined are little face-savers!
Lipstick - For my dark lips I used Leighton Denny's Lip Dual in Sheer Bravery. I love these lipsticks as they are so creamy and feel wonderful on the lips. Look at the colour payoff too! Stunning.
I decided to add a gem to the bottom lip to add a little something extra to this fun look!
Cheeks - My favourite blush at the moment is the Milani Pink Play Colour Harmony Blush Palette. I love to swirl my brush all around this palette to mix all the shades of pink to create a whole new one! I must try out some other colours from this range as it's a brilliant blush!
The wig I used is of course from Black Candy Fashion Wigs, and it's in the style Pixie. I'm not sure if this is still available, but if you pop over to their website I'm sure you could find something for you!
These wigs are always of the best quality and at reasonable prices too. Always with the best service too, delivery is so quick.
So that is the complete breakdown of products used. Did you enjoy this look? Are there any products mentioned that you love too?
Thank you for reading and see you tomorrow!
Love, Leanne Xx
