Models Own Autumn Collection
**items were gifted to me for swatching and reviewing**
Good morning everyone, today I want to show you the new Models Own autumn polish collection which they very kindly sent me for swatching. These colours are all available in the Leeds Trinity and Stratford Westfield stores, but will also be available online from the 3rd November.
These polishes all have a wonderful formula that allows full, even colour in one, sometimes two, coats and dries to a smooth, semi-matte finish. They all have a rounded flat brush for extra ease of application, it really is made as easy as possible to achieve a clean, crisp line even when using the darker tones.
Lets take a closer look at the colours within this collection, I have swatched each colour with and without a topcoat so that you can see how lovely they are in their natural state, but also how pretty they are with a glossy topper.
Flat Out is a light, pink-toned nude that is the perfect palette cleanser for transitioning from those bright summer colours into warmer, darker shades. It is a polish that will suit everyone, very easy to wear, and a staple for your polish collection.
This is my favourite lighter shade of the collection. It's a touch warmer, a touch darker than Flat Out and it's definitely one to add to your basket.
A warm peachy polish, very easy to wear and the one to go for in this collection if beige-y nudes aren't your cuppa tea... The sun decided to come right out for the second photo showing more of its peachiness!
There is no denying that this is a beautiful, beautiful, colour - and we all know how much I love pink! But...there are a few polishes in this collection that in my honest opinion, don't really fit. Profuse Pink is one of them I'm afraid, it screams spring/summer more to me than autumn/winter. Never-the-less it'll get a lot of wear from me. Did I mention that I love pink?
This is more like it! A warm, dusky pink easy to team up with your autumn/winter wardrobe.
This is a lovely cool lilac that kind of has a hint of grey? Is that just me haha?! Very dusky, very pretty in any case. Another one that must go into your basket for sure!
I am loving this polish! It's perfect. Pop it in your basket, trust me, you'll love it too.
Is it me or is not really a red - red? More of a grape, berry, aubergine... either way, it's a stunner. Might as well add it to the basket with the others, go on, one more won't hurt...
There's something very stylish about black nails. Supreme Red is the new Black.
This is a gorgeous, bright and bold red. It has the wow factor. It sure does stand out from the collection doesn't it?!
I have enjoyed each of these polishes and they are all truly beautiful. As a collection though, I find that there's a few oddballs... there's some pastels which remind me more of a spring/summer collection, there's the stand alone bright red, there's the red that's really black ... it's an eclectic collection haha!
I love how they have a semi - matte finish, something a little different to add to your shelves. If you have imperfections in your nails like I do, they will show through if you choose not to use a topcoat, unless you have a basecoat that fills and evens out. This is not a fault with the product, it's common with matte finishes. Adding the topcoat melts away those lines and cracks from your nail underneath and shows the colour off to it's fullest potential.
Have you noticed the packaging too? Super sleek with matte black lids and font, very nice indeed.
Some absolute beauties to choose from here, which will you be treating yourselves to?
Thank you for reading and see you tomorrow,
Love, Leanne Xx
