Leighton Denny Nails/Alex Silver PR Event

Hey everyone! Today I wanted to tell you about my very first PR event which happened to be with one of my most favourite brands - Leighton Denny Nails! I was over the moon to be sent an invite, and booked my tickets to London on the very same day.

Morning of event

Oh my gosh I was so nervous! I get real nervous, real quick, and waking up knowing that I would be travelling to London - for the very first time - completely alone, terrified me! But I knew I had to push myself as it was just too good an experience to miss out on.

I decided to get up at a time that would mean I would only have enough time to get my routine done then head straight out of the door - this meant less time hanging around, less time to get worked up over the day, less time to back out.

It worked! It was soon time to get to the train station and begin the journey...

Arriving at Tea Party, London

The event itself was held at Tea Party, Kentish Town. When you walk in you are shown downstairs to the cutest tearoom ever, with vintage style china and decor. It was so cute, and so pretty, everything was laid out beautifully.

It was fab to actually meet the Alex Silver PR team, they are just as friendly in person as they have been in emails, really down to earth and easy to chat to. Leighton Denny Nails have definitely picked one of the best teams to represent their brand.

Our tables were laid out with finger sandwiches, scones, tea and desserts. Yummy! As we all tucked in, the Leighton Denny brand manager, Natasha Suri, greeted us and chatted about the new Heritage Collection and where the inspiration came from. It was really nice to hear a little bit more of what goes on behind the scenes.

After Natasha had finished speaking we all got a chance to chat between ourselves and get to know each other a little better. There was also a manicurist set up who was treating everyone to manicures using the gorgeous new collection, though a few of us nailies were already prepped and wearing our favourite colours haha!

Favourite parts of the Day

Of course just being at this event was a special treat for me, but I have to admit meeting Atima (@nailsbynemo) was probably one of the best parts of the day for me. She is the most lovely lady you could ever meet and it was such an honour to get to chat with her about nails and more! It was really nice to put a face to the name and get to know her a little better. We are going to be organising an amazing giveaway soon with some of the goodies Leighton Denny Nails treated us to, so keep your eyes peeled and make sure you're following us on Instagram!

I also met Lex (@TalontedLex) and Sam (@MadeFromBeauty), two lovely and very talented bloggers who were so friendly and it was such a pleasure to meet and chat with them. I even met Amanda (@gingermumblog) another top blogger, who is also such a friendly and lovely lady.

The tea party lasted for a couple of hours, but then it was time to make my way home. It had been a long day, a lot of travelling and I was glad to get back home, but it was more than worth it. What a wonderful experience!

Thank You

I thought it would be nice to finish up this post by thanking everyone! I'm so grateful to the lovely people at Leighton Denny Nails and Alex Silver PR for inviting me along to this event and for always being so supportive of my posts whether its on Instagram, Twitter or my blog.

Also, thank you to the Tea Party venue, it was all so cosy, set out beautifully and the food was delicious!
