Meebox Intergalactic Theme
*Contains PR Products*
Yes, yes, Meebox is still very much alive and kicking! I know when they announced that the monthly subscription boxes were ending a lot of people felt sad and disappointed. But fear not and do not despair! Meebox have opened up their very own online shop, where you can purchase a selection of previous boxes along with new quarterly releases. I am very excited to see them continue on their new path, who knows what 2019 will hold for them?!
Anyways, today we are going to take a look at the very last theme of 2018, Intergalactic. I know that the wonderful ladies/team at Meebox have worked their little socks off to bring us this amazing box of goodies, what a great way to end the year.
Inside this box we have:
Wikked Polish - Taboo (my first magnetic polish!)
Born Pretty - Double Ended Magnet
A-England Polish - Midsummer Nights Dream
Leighton Denny Nails - Twinkle Twinkle
Charlies Nail Art - 3mm Mixed Pearl Gems
Meebox - Silver Holo Glitter ‘Linda”
Unfortunately my Leighton Denny polish didn’t survive the journey to my home, but after getting in contact with Meebox they will be sending out a fresh new bottle - fantastic customer services as always! I wanted to go ahead and make this post anyway so that it could be a part of Blogmas, so keep eyes peeled for more over on Instagram in the near future.
Wikkid Polish - Taboo
I was so excited to crack this bottle open as it is my very first magnetic polish! Also, the colour is amazing, I mean just look at it!
A beautiful, deep blurple with a pinky-magenta iridescent shimmer complete with holo flakes. Absolutely stunning, I really must add more Wikkid Polish to my collection as the ones I have received are breath taking. It took two coats for full and flawless cover, and applied smoothly and evenly.
I did have ago at using the Born Pretty magnet with this, but as you can see from the photo above I need to practise some more, don’t forget it’s my first try haha! It pulls that lovely pinky iridescence forward, making it really pop out against the darker background, just like a galaxy…
Galaxy Nail Design
Of course I had to do a galaxy nail design for this box and it’s contents.
Here I left on Taboo as my base, sponged over it with A-England’s Midsummer Nights Dream, sprinkled on some of the Meebox Silver Holo Glitter ‘Linda’, and popped on some dots and stars freehand style using a white polish.
I feel like I go a little too heavy handed with the sponging over, but I liked how it turned out nevertheless and I hope you do too. I was even going to add some of the pastel gems from Charlies Nail Art, but managed to stop myself in time, that would have been far too much going on! I shall save those for another day, another mani.
A-England - Midsummer Nights Dream
I could never own enough pink polishes, and I’m so beyond giddy to be able to add this one to my collection. A-England create some of the most beautiful holo polishes, and this one is no exception. It is so, so pretty - I’m in love!
It only took two coats for perfect opacity, no patchiness or streakiness, a problem which I’ve never encountered with this brand. The amount of sparkle and twinkle in this polish is insane, I don’t have one bad word to say about it. Next!
Meebox - Silver Holo Glitter ‘Linda’
Loose glitters really used to intimidate me, but Meebox has helped me overcome my fear by adding cheeky tubs into some of their collections. This time we have the holotastic ‘Linda’, which I used for my galaxy design above.
I love this one more than the brighter coloured ones sent earlier in the year as I feel I will definitely be able to work this one into so many more designs with ease. I do hope that we will be able to buy more of these wonderful tubs of twinkle in the Meebox shop sometime in the future….
That is all I have to share with you for today, but remember to keep an eye out over on Instagram for more designs using the Charlies Nail Art Gems, and also the Leighton Denny polish - Twinkle Twinkle. I look forward to seeing all of your designs and swatches using this awesome collection!
Thank you so much for reading, see you tomorrow!
Love, Leanne Xx
