Anastasia Beverly Hills Aurora Glow Kit

I've been meaning to write this post for a little while and just never seemed to get round to it! On the bright side though it's given me a chance to really wear the different highlighters, play around with different looks to give you a fuller review. I am of course talking about the Anastasia Beverly Hills Aurora Glow Kit, which just happens to be my very first ABH product.

What's in it?

You get a selection of six beautiful colour shifting, metallic highlighters that can compliment any look. These can be used all over the face and body, so use on cheeks, eyes, collarbones, shoulders, shins... go for it!

Each pan holds 4.2g of product which I thinks pretty good. I can imagine getting plenty more use out of this palette, even though as you can see in the photo, it's been fairly well loved already.

Swatches

My favourite and most used colour is Spectra, I'm drawn to all things pink and purple! There's not a colour in here that I don't like though, they're all fab.

I find that they are all really pigmented, easily blended and they do have a metallic feel to them. I love the colour shift, it adds something that bit extra to your look. These also work great when applied with a wet brush, especially on the eyes.

Price and Packaging

I bought mine from Beauty Bay for £39 which I really didn't mind paying. Its about right for a palette isn't it? To be honest I was quite surprised at the price, I expected to pay way more for ABH.

The packaging is cute with a hint of reflective holo, but fairly basic and doesn't have that....weight about it. Also, when I flipped it open I was a little disappointed to not find a mirror, but maybe that's just me being over picky with too high expectations! None of this is a bad thing really, but could be how they have managed to keep the cost low?

It's Cruelty Free and Vegan Friendly!

Phew! I really don't believe that animals should suffer for the sake of beauty, so finding that this brand is cruelty free was a huge relief. I've trained myself quite well to always check before buying!

Final Thoughts

Well if you keep up with my posts you will know that I don't tend to write about products that I don't like, I try to keep really positive over here haha! So yes, I love this palette. It has been a wonderful first experience with the brand, and it's such a fun selection of colours to play with.

I think the price, quality and quantity of product is to high standards and I will buy from this brand again. Do you have any suggestions for what I could try out next?

Thank you for reading
