NHL’s biggest game of the week: The New York Rangers will meet the New York Maple Leafs on Tuesday night in their final regular season game of 2015-16.
The teams played each other in the 2015 Calder Cup final, which saw the Maple Leafs win in seven games.
The two teams will meet again on Tuesday at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, with the Islanders going with veteran goalie Jaroslav Halak.
The Maple Leafs will be without forward Tyler Bozak for the game after he had surgery to repair a torn labrum in his left shoulder, but forward Tyler Walker and defenseman Andrew Nielsen are expected to be ready to go.
The Leafs have five healthy forwards and eight healthy defensemen, with four of the seven returning from injury.
The Rangers will be looking for their second win of the season against a team that’s missed the playoffs since 2007.
They’ve gone 11-13-3 in the last 20 games.
They were eliminated by the Chicago Blackhawks in the first round of the playoffs last year.
They’ll look to bounce back after losing three in a row on the road.
The Islanders have a 5-4-0 record in their last nine games, including a 6-1 win over the Los Angeles Kings on Monday night.
They lost 3-2 in overtime to the Philadelphia Flyers on Thursday.
They have one win in five games on the second night of a back-to-back, with three of those wins coming on the power play.
The Islanders have allowed at least one goal in five of their last six games.
