It’s time to get a manicure kit.
But what exactly are manicure products, and how do they work?
You might have heard of manicures and pedics before.
However, for those who haven’t, it’s worth checking out the basics first.
What is a manicurist?
The term manicurists refers to the people who do manicures, pedicures, and pedis for money.
“They are a type of professional who performs manicures or pedicurys for a fee for clients, typically with the aim of making money for their business,” says Dr Helen Gullick, chief medical officer for Lumia.
Mixed messages are given to people who are looking for manicures when they call a manicurer and get a free consultation.
If you are not familiar with the term, let’s break it down.
First, it is not a manicuring salon.
It is a professional body piercing salon.
Second, it does not refer to any specific profession.
It’s a general term used to describe a range of professional body piercings and body piercing services that is commonly used by a range in the UK.
“Some people might call them nail salons or body shops, but most people refer to them as a body piercer,” says Ms Gullik.
A manicuriser is not the same as a professional piercer.
“A professional pierciser is a specialist who specializes in certain body piercing procedures, for example, a laser, a surgical technique, or the removal of tattoos,” she explains.
“A manicure is not an art gallery or gallery performance.
A manicurism is an individual who performs a particular type of cosmetic procedure.”
